PEC is a structural steel contractor that supports fast-track schedules with coordinated detailing, shop fabrication, and field erection. From small retrofit steel to complex frames, we help General Contractor project managers and structural engineers keep scope clear, RFIs moving, and steel arriving when the job needs it.
From small retrofit steel to complex frames, PEC helps General Contractor project managers and structural engineers keep scope clear, RFIs moving, and steel arriving when the job needs it. Our advantage is what happens before the steel hits the site: connections, embeds, equipment loads, and field tolerances get coordinated with our own electrical, controls, and mechanical teams while the drawings are still moving. By the time the iron lands, the conflicts are resolved.

When you bring PEC in as your structural steel contractor, the deliverable list goes well past the iron itself:
If your shortlist needs a steel partner that does more than ship steel, this is the bid we want.

At PEC, we manage structural steel from preconstruction through installation so you do not have to juggle multiple vendors. We coordinate connections, embeds, and field tolerances early, then convert that scope into shop-ready documentation that crews can install efficiently. Because our electrical and controls team and our mechanical services sit in the same building as our steel division, the cross-trade conflicts that usually surface during shop drawing review get caught and resolved while the drawings are still moving.
You will have one accountable partner for detailing coordination, fabrication sequencing, and erection support, helping reduce rework, change-order surprises, and jobsite congestion. The single accountable PM is what makes a multi-trade industrial scope feel like one project instead of three.

Fast-track jobs need structure and communication, not guesswork. We set expectations up front on submittal cycles, long-lead materials, and field sequencing, then keep stakeholders aligned with real-time updates. When schedule pressure rises, clear documentation and quick decisions are what keep steel erection moving.
For GC project managers, that means fewer “surprise” conflicts in the field. For engineers, it means connection intent and constructability stay aligned with the design as the job evolves.
Here’s what that coordination typically looks like on an active project:
We coordinate with your steel detailer, equipment vendors, and MEP trades to resolve clashes early, so the field crew can bolt-up safely and keep daily momentum.

PEC’s steel division runs three application tracks, each with its own crew, its own detailing approach, and its own way of integrating with the rest of the divisions.
We design and fabricate freestanding mezzanines, building-supported platforms, and process-equipment mezzanines for industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, automotive, and bio-science facilities. The supporting industrial walkways and steel catwalks work covers maintenance access pathways, cable tray support, equipment service platforms, and the access stairs and handrail systems that make the platform usable.
Our Structural Steel division handles full steel frame buildings for industrial expansions, equipment enclosures, and process-area additions. The steel canopy scope covers loading-dock canopies, equipment-shelter canopies, and architectural canopies on industrial fronts.
Exterior steel stairs cover the rooftop access, mezzanine access, and OSHA-compliant industrial stair work that often gets bid late on a project. Our storage tank fabrication crew handles the carbon-steel and stainless tank work for process applications. United-Defense-scale projects (1,000 tons of steel, nine-month engagements) sit comfortably inside our shop capacity.
PEC supports steel fabrication and erection for equipment platforms, screen walls, dunnage frames, roof support steel, cooling-tower platforms, and the interior structural modifications where uptime and safety matter. We integrate mezzanine structures and access stair and handrail systems so maintenance pathways, cable routing, and equipment clearances are resolved before steel hits the site. For phased build-outs, we plan steel work to minimize disruption while keeping crews coordinated with electrical, controls, and mechanical teams.

We also utilize technology such as 3D modeling and virtual walkthroughs to identify any potential issues before they arise, saving time and resources in the long run. Our commitment to quality assurance means that you can trust us to deliver top-notch results for your structural steel project.

The reason GCs and engineering firms put us on bid lists is the same reason plant managers send us repeat work: PEC’s steel division does not stop at the steel.
When the structural scope ties to electrical wiring and control systems, our electrical and controls team handles the work on the same PO. When the scope crosses into process piping or steam handling, our mechanical services division takes the mechanical-to-steel interfaces. When the project has clean-room or pollution-control requirements, our integration approach pulls those scopes into a single coordinated package. When the steel is part of an industrial process or mechanical construction job, the design-build sequencing flows through one PM.
The single-vendor multi-trade story is what most national fabricators cannot match. They ship steel beautifully. They do not run cable tray, energize a panel, set a chiller, or commission a controls package. PEC does, and the steel scope benefits because the conflicts get caught while the drawings are still moving instead of in the field with a crane on the clock.

PEC is proud to be one of the leading structural steel fabricators in Georgia. Our services are built on communication, quality, and transparency. We work closely with clients to ensure that every piece of steel meets the highest standards. Our fabricators use the latest technology to cut and shape structural steel products, ensuring each piece is made to your exact specifications.
Our extensive experience allows us to deliver projects that are both efficient and cost-effective. Whether you need custom structural steel shapes or large-scale construction materials, we’re here to help.

To keep pricing and scheduling accurate, it helps to share the documents that drive scope.
Typical inputs include the latest drawings/specs, target start date, access constraints, and any known equipment loads or vendor requirements. If the project is still early, we can work from preliminary plans and refine as design develops without losing momentum. Need a rapid turnaround?
Tell us your bid date and decision timeline so we can align detailing and procurement for a clean handoff.

Whether you are a GC running a fast-track industrial expansion, an engineering firm putting together a bid list, or a steel fabricator at machine-hour capacity looking for an overflow partner, PEC’s steel division is sized for the work you have in front of you.
Bring the bid documents, the connection drawings, the equipment loads, and the schedule. Need a capability deck for a pre-bid review? Tell us your bid timeline and we will work with it.
